The Veranda

The Veranda is a small, self-contained unit at Wauconda, dedicated to caring for people with early and mid-stage Alzheimer's and dementia.  Our unit features activity-based programs which are designed to help our residents function as independently as possible in a safe and secure setting.  Many of our families discover that their loved ones make more progress in our environment than they might have at home.  Residents are busy from early in the morning through out the day and early evening to ensure that each person receives a full range of tailored, meaningful and engaging activities.  The Veranda creates a home-like environment and is staffed with compassionate professionals.
